In Progress: Lavender Mist

I have a few projects in progress. I hate having unfinished quilts, but with the birth of my baby last year, and the inability to find materials, I've had to put some aside until now. I am hoping to finish these and many others this year!

The first quilt I'd like to mention is my Lavender Mist. I am so in love with this quilt! It was quilt block of the month kit from Spring '09. It's one of those kits that includes pre-cut fabric with instructions on how to complete the blocks. Each block and the finishing set were sold individually. I bought the first four quilt block kits with plans to go back and get the rest as I had time. However, time flew by, my daughter was born, and life happened. It was several months before I went back to purchase the remaining blocks. To my dismay, they were sold out, and they had no intention of ordering more. I called their 800 number and I was able to find instructions for the remaining blocks, but they were also out of several fabrics. Their warehouse didn't even have the fabrics. So, I'm stuck trying to find suitable replacements. I did stock up on what fabric I could find. I hope with Spring coming up, I'll have a better selection. I can't wait to finish it!
